As a Diversity and Talent Management Consultant, I advise professionals on how leveraging diversity as strategy  improves business performance, is key to talent and organisational development, and is indispensable within the 21st century global workplace.

However, experience has taught me that there is a great deal of  misunderstanding and limited interpretations of what diversity actually is, who it concerns, and how it is intrinsically connected to talent. This reduced understanding limits businesses and organisations from achieving their strategic objectives - through their people.

This is a straight-talking blog - aimed at putting the record straight: diversity is about you; your life story, your skills, your experiences, your talent. It is about how your diversity, and the collective diversity of others, is strategically indispensable for improving people and organisational performance – particularly in the 21st century workplace context.

Jude-Martin is Director of www.diversity-is.com , a consultancy focused on providing a fresh and innovative approach to diversity through the provision of services covering; Strategy, Assessment, and Development for ensuring effective talent management/development.

He holds a BA, MA in Philosophy and Theology from Blackfriars College, Oxford University, an MA in Human Resource Management, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).  Jude-Martin consults on strategic diversity across the private and public sector space.
